Perhaps this year's RRSP should start with an R.S.V.P. ?

We're hosting a live RRSP Q&A session for all Rapport Credit Union members with Ashten and Fabrizio from our RapportWEALTH team

The question that may be on many of our minds is whether or not to make an RRSP contribution this year. Particularly if your household or family income has been affected by COVID-19 you may feel like you’re not in a financial position to make a contribution. That may be true but perhaps this is the year to have a conversation with your Rapport Financial Advocate before making any decisions.

Not sure this Q&A session is for you?

At Rapport Credit Union we will work with you to improve your financial health today, tomorrow and in the future. If an RRSP makes sense for you, we’ll help you determine how much you should contribute based on a calculation of your longterm savings goals, your RRSP allowance, and how much you can afford.

If you need to borrow to make your contribution this year, we’ll also work with you to determine if you should take out an RRSP loan or if an RRSP line of credit is better.

If you have RRSPs sitting at another financial institution and you would prefer to consolidate them at Rapport so you’re getting ongoing advice based on your overall financial picture, we’ll pay your transfer fees† to make that an easier move for you.

We're just a click, call or a virtual visit away.
