Marketing Coordinator – Full Time (Toronto)

Job Summary

As an integral part of the Marketing team at Rapport Credit Union (Rapport), the Marketing Coordinator will fulfill an essential administrative support role in relation to Rapport’s marketing communication channels, aiding branch objectives and the overall achievement of departmental plans and goals. In addition, the incumbent will assist in elevating the overall awareness in the communities we serve, by overseeing the efficient and effective distribution of information regarding Rapport’s products and services to meet the needs of employees and membership. By leveraging internal and external data sources to assess competitive landscape, the incumbent will identify market opportunities and execute strategies to achieve desired organizational goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assists with marketing campaigns and member communications by working with management and outside marketing partners to determine annual marketing priorities and objectives.

  • Develops and implements marketing strategies and plans working within various multimedia formats.

  • Designs and/or reviews all marketing material to ensure aesthetics and regulatory requirements.

  • Keeps business and promotional materials available by monitoring inventories, coordinating orders, verifying receipt, etc.

  • Coordinates branch marketing meetings, events and branch requests; ensures inventory of marketing material is kept and all marketing material to branches is consistent with promotional events.

  • Develops social media content and coordinates all activities relating to Rapport’s social media channels.

  • Coordinates the development, approval and distribution of email blasts with Web Master, including the maintenance of Rapport’s email marketing database.

  • Responsible for some of Rapport’s website maintenance; including making updates; supporting regular measuring and reporting of website and digital campaign performance using Google analytics.

  • Makes recommendations regarding Rapport’s web strategy and presence to ensure they’re aligned with the overall brand and strategic objectives.


  • Post-secondary diploma, degree and/or certification in Marketing or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Minimum two (2) years’ experience in a marketing/sales support role with proven results.

  • In-depth knowledge of marketing principles and practices.

  • Experience in website maintenance using content management systems.

  • Experience in using a variety of social media applications.

  • Excellent computer skills (MS Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and aptitude for picking up new software or computer based tools.

  • Knowledge of CRM systems or working with Envision5 is an asset.

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.

  • Excellent organizational skills, able to balance several projects at once.

  • High attention to detail.

  • Ability to work effectively within a team as well as independently.
